Trust no one. Find the truth. Survive the night.
A 30+ role pony social deduction game where hidden Changelings have infiltrated Veloria โ and only the village can root them out.
Veloria is not on any map. A sheltered valley, ringed by mist-choked mountains, where ponies lived for generations in gentle harmony. They built their homes from lavender stone. They lit their streets with bioluminescent lanterns. They thought they were safe.
They were wrong.
Changelings โ shapeshifters who feed on trust and love โ have found the valley. They don't invade with armies. They replace. A smile you recognize. A voice you've known since foalhood. A neighbor who tucks their foal in at night. But underneath: hunger.
Every morning, somepony is gone. Every day, the survivors point hooves at each other. Was it the baker? The watchmare? The princess herself? The Changelings are patient. They're already inside.
The question isn't whether Veloria falls. The question is: which side are you on?
"You thought you knew your neighbors. You thought this village was safe. But faces lie, and the ones you love most might be the ones wearing them."
โ A survivor's warning, carved on the town well
Every game, every pony plays a different role. Every role has a different agenda. Every night, someone doesn't survive.
The ponies of Veloria just want to survive. Find the Deceivers before they're gone. Use every gift at your disposal โ and hope your allies are who they say they are.
The Changeling Court doesn't want war. They want dominance โ quiet, patient, invisible. Corrupt the information. Silence the witnesses. Let paranoia do the work.
Not everyone chose a side. Some are chasing their own goals. Some just want chaos. Some want to watch the world burn โ or die trying. Their win conditions? Complicated.
No two games play the same. Every role has a purpose โ and a secret.
Investigate a pony to learn if they walk in Harmony, shadow, or neutral ground.
"Truth isn't comfortable. But lies are worse."
Guard a pony tonight. Block anyone who dares visit them. Cannot repeat the same target on consecutive nights.
"You don't get to touch them. Not while I'm here."
Heal a pony tonight โ save them from death. Also cures infection and poison.
"I didn't come here to let anypony die."
See WHO visits a pony โ learn visitor names, not just that they were visited.
"I don't just see the crime. I see who brought it."
Redirect a pony's night action from one target to another. They think they chose โ but you decided.
"Violence isn't the answer. Misdirected violence is."
Mark a pony. If they're attacked tonight, one attacker dies and the target is protected. You don't die.
"Walk softly. I left something under your floorboards."
Mimic โ copy a non-Deceiver's ability and use it on a different target. Who you visit is not who you seem.
"Every gift you have, I can wear. Every secret you keep, I can borrow."
False Link: talk to one player. They see "Mailmare" โ but you're reading their whispers and typing replies.
"What they see isn't what is. That's the whole point."
Disguise any Deceiver to look like a Harmony role under investigation. Lasts one night only.
"Innocent? Darling, I'm whatever you need me to be."
Redirect night actions โ what one pony intends, another receives. Silent. No notification.
"You thought you were visiting her. Funny โ she thought the same thing."
Full Frame โ make an innocent pony appear as Deceiver to every investigation vector. Honesty, Stareholder, Princess โ all of them.
"The brand doesn't lie. It just tells a different truth."
Win by getting yourself voted out at trial. The town already suspects you โ make it count.
"You were going to blame me anyway. Might as well make it spectacular."
Devour Warmth โ attack a player. Your power scales with Hunger: from basic kill to unblockable triple devour.
"Don't stop the arguments on my account. I'm thriving."
Claim relics from other players. Collect 3 shards to win โ but relic holders know what you want.
"I don't care about your war. I care about what's in your saddlebag."
Verify a pony's action โ learn if it resolved cleanly, was blocked, redirected, protected, or infected.
"Light doesn't care who it reveals."
Category investigation โ receive clues about a pony's role type. Royal Pardon to save a player from execution.
"I don't know everything. But I know enough to keep you alive."
And 18 more roles with unique abilities, passives, and win conditions.
Every game draws from a pool of 34 roles โ no two matches ever play the same.
One full cycle is all it takes for everything to change.
Deceivers scheme. Harmony investigates. Neutrals pursue their own agendas. Everyone makes their move โ in the dark, in secret, in silence.
Someone is dead. Accusations fly. Alliances form and break in real time. You have to convince the village โ or deflect suspicion โ before the vote.
The village picks a suspect. They defend themselves. Everyone votes. Someone gets exiled โ and Veloria hopes they got the right one.
Every mechanic serves the story. Every system rewards skill.
No duplicates that matter. Every role has a unique ability, passive, and win condition. Investigators, protectors, killers, tricksters, merchants, and madponies.
Information is muddled, not clear. Investigators get categories, not exact roles. Deceivers can frame, disguise, and redirect. Trust is earned, not given.
Some roles grow stronger as the game progresses. Wendigo hungers. Psychopath charges. Duelist banks. The late game is never the same as the early game.
16 players. 34 roles. Random draws every match. Faction compositions shift. Role synergies emerge. No script, no memorization โ just reading ponies.
Veloria isn't a palette swap. It's a living village with history, tragedy, and secrets. Lore drops between games. Characters have backstories. The world remembers.
Every character is a pony. Every portrait is hand-crafted. No humans, no generics โ just a village of colorful, expressive equines with something to hide.
